Hello, all! My name is Maria and I am the creator of SkinBiome! My family and I live in Upstate New York and I currently manage this small business on my own. Our products are made to help balance the skins microbiome naturally. The microbiome is an ecosystem of bacteria that lives on our skin. While I have been in healthcare for the last ten years, I fell in love with making soap 6 years ago. I developed a sudden onset of anaphylactic food & skin allergies and that is where my journey began. I started investigating all of the products that I was using. Aside from all the words/chemicals that I could not pronounce, I discovered “Fragrance” “Titanium Dioxide” “Phthalates” “Phenoxyethanol” “Glyphosates”, and the list goes on and on.

Under current law, phthalates can simply be labeled “fragrance,” even though they may make up 20% or more of the product.

Even the natural brands that CLAIM they are Organic are bad! (Dr.Squatch-Mrs.Meyers-Toms) AGAIN, the list goes on and on…

It was so stressful. My eyes were opened to all the chemicals that surrounded us on a daily basis and I wanted to reduce my family’s exposure.

So, I began making my own products. I researched the gut and the skins microbiome, and I wanted a product that would help protect & nourish the microbiome of the skin.

It IS an ecosystem after all.

We use ingredients like Grass-fed Tallow, Raw Goats milk, Goat’s milk Kefir (Probiotics), Organic Oils, Herb Infused Oils, Aloe, Vitamin E, Green Tea, Salts, Sugars & Wild Foraged Adirondack Chaga Tea to help the unbalanced skin heal itself!

What you see on our label is what you get. NO SURPRISES. The gift of health is absolutely priceless to me.

Our Chaga is handled by me only. I only harvest Chaga that is deep within the forest away from any signs of life/pollution. I begin the tincture process immediately. Our Chaga is ground to a fine powder and soaked for 8+ weeks for maximum extraction of Triterpenes. Decoction process is from 24-48 hours for the Beta-Glucans. The alcohol count is then reduced to 30-40 percent.

Chaga can heal the guts microbiome (Leaky Gut). Which overall also effects the skin. Healing from the inside out while balancing the skin!
